I recently made McCall's 6955 with this beautiful rose floral by Gertie. 

Look at the back! How cute is that?

My measurements are 34 - 28 - 37 and I cut out a size 10 at the bust, and a size 12 at the waist. 

I added a coordinating green piping to the waistline and armholes.

I cut out the pieces for hem view C, but trimmed it by 2". Because the skirt was a near circle skirt, I decided to finish the hem with a curved facing, cut from the  bottom of the same pattern piece as the skirt. The hem is currently only basted. I would like to apply bias tape to the rough edge of the facing and then hand-stitch the facing in place. 

The bodice is lined with the same organic cotton I made this shirt out of. As you can see in the picture above, the dress isn't quite completed. I really need to make some sort of piece to cover the inside where the straps are sewn together. The rest of the inside looks nice, but those straps seam make me cringe.

The bodice gapped at the top, so I made a very small pleat, which solved the problem perfectly without being too obvious, or changing the shape of the rest of the bodice.

I am so pleased with how the piping matches perfectly on both sides of the zipper. Whew! I was worried that it was going to be crooked. 

Overall, I think it turned out well. I wore it to my friend's rehearsal dinner, and for her ceremony, I was able to wear this bridesmaid dress I also made. Yay for wearing two handmade things in one weekend!
